Since the Matije Gupca Elementary School in Zagreb is the holder of the In Medias ReStart Project, co-financed by the European Social Fund of the European Union, the school year 2018/19  at the Matija Gubec Elementary School in Zagreb was proclaimed the Year of Media Literacy.

That means that topics about media and media literacy will be integrated into the curricula of all subjects throughout the school year and special attention will be given to media literacy of students.

On this occasion, a lecture on Media and Media Literacy was held at the Matija Gubec Elementary School on October 30.

Dr. Lina Malek from the Children of Media Association taught us about these topics and the lecture was followed by MYP and Croatian students, and also by the students participating in In Medias ReStart Project.

The lecture was very interesting, useful and educational and the students followed it with interest and learned essential information about the situations they face in their everyday environment.
